2. Historical Significance of the Takian Wood

The Takian wood used in this amulet is of profound spiritual origin:

  • Part of it comes from the original sacred wood used in the construction of the City Pillar of Nakhon Si Thammarat.

  • This material was carefully preserved by Police Major General Khun Phantharak Rajadej, a legendary law enforcer and powerful lay mystic.

  • He also instructed the recovery of the original Takian tree stump from the Ban Yod Lueang area, from which the City Pillar was once carved.

According to Khun Phan, the spirit of the tree, Chao Mae Inthaphani (The Lady Guardian of the Tree), wished to remain in sacred service. He believed that incorporating part of this sacred wood into amulets would bestow great merit and protection upon worshippers.

3. Ritual Invitation of the Tree Spirit

To honor the sacred presence residing within the Takian wood:

  • Luang Phor Wann, a highly revered monk from Wat Sao Thong Thong, who Khun Phan deeply respected for his spiritual insight, was invited to perform the ritual of invitation.

  • Through deep meditative communion, he confirmed the presence of Chao Mae Inthaphani, who resided in both the original stump and the City Pillar.

This authentic wood—imbued with sacred presence—was then ground and mixed into the amulet powder formula used for all Phra Phong Suriyan Chantra Thewaphotisat (Sun-Moon Bodhisattva Amulets) created in this batch.

4. Purpose of Creation – 2004 City Pillar Restoration Project

This amulet was part of the “Restoration of the Nakhon Si Thammarat City Pillar Shrine 2004” sacred object batch.

  • The initiative was spearheaded by Khun Phantharak Rajadej (age 108) to raise funds for various public merit-making causes.

  • Specifically, the campaign aimed to:

    • Reconstruct the ordination hall of Wat Nasarn, formerly abandoned.

    • Contribute to the restoration project of the City Pillar Shrine in collaboration with the Nakhon Si Thammarat municipal authorities.

  • Mr. Nasan Phantharak Rajadej and local patrons were entrusted with the organization and implementation of this initiative.
