Kruba Krissana Intawanno

Renowned Monk and Master of Sacred Amulets — Wat Wang Bua Ban, Nakhon Ratchasima

Kruba Krissana Intawanno, one of the most venerated monks of modern Thailand, was born on August 1, 1956 in Nakhon Ratchasima Province. From childhood, he possessed an uncommon serenity and curiosity for spiritual matters, often spending his days meditating or studying Dhamma scriptures rather than engaging in ordinary play. His early fascination with the teachings of the Buddha and the mystical sciences of compassion and mindfulness foretold his future as a beacon of faith.

At the age of twenty-two, he entered the monkhood and was ordained at Wat Wang Bua Ban under the preceptorship of Kruba Wat. After ordination, he dedicated himself wholeheartedly to the monastic path — practicing Vipassana meditation, studying Buddhist scripture, and cultivating deep insight into the workings of the mind. His disciplined devotion quickly drew respect from fellow monks and villagers alike.

Seeking greater wisdom, Kruba Krissana journeyed across Thailand to learn from revered masters, especially within the Lanna and Isan traditions. Among his most influential teachers was Kruba Noi of Wat Si Don Moon, from whom he inherited profound knowledge of metta (loving-kindness) meditation, sacred consecration rituals, and ancient Buddhist incantations. Through years of rigorous practice, he mastered the delicate balance between spiritual discipline and mystical compassion.

Kruba Krissana’s meditation teachings became known for their gentleness and transformative depth. His retreats attracted lay devotees, monks, and students seeking not only spiritual peace but also guidance in navigating life’s trials with kindness and clarity. His presence radiated calm — a quiet assurance that reflected his deep inner stillness and faith.

Over the decades, Kruba Krissana became world-renowned as a master of sacred amulets. His creations combined refined artistry with potent spiritual energy, bringing blessings of metta mahaniyom (great charm and popularity), protection, business prosperity, and good fortune. The Butterfly King Amulets (Phra Pidta Pha Ya Khrut / Taep Jamlaeng) remain his most celebrated creation — symbolic of transformation, beauty, and universal compassion. He also consecrated Guman Thong amulets, believed to enhance prosperity and luck through ancient Khmer blessings, and produced Phra Khun Paen amulets renowned for attracting love and charisma. His sacred takrut scrolls and yantra cloths were equally revered for their protective and auspicious power.

Each amulet was crafted with exceptional care using sacred powders, rare herbs, and holy materials gathered from temples and sacred sites across the land. Rituals of consecration were performed meticulously, with long chanting sessions infused with metta energy. For devotees, owning an amulet consecrated by Kruba Krissana was more than possession — it was participation in a lineage of compassion and protection.

Until his final days, Kruba Krissana remained devoted to his spiritual duties — teaching, meditating, and offering blessings to visitors from all walks of life. His humility, sincerity, and radiant compassion left an indelible impression on countless hearts. He passed away peacefully on November 6, 2020, at the age of 64, leaving behind an enduring legacy of faith, wisdom, and sacred craftsmanship. Today, his name continues to be spoken with reverence across Thailand and abroad.

Kruba Krissana’s teachings and amulets remain a guiding light for those seeking prosperity, inner peace, and divine protection. His legacy stands as a living testament to the union of spiritual mastery and compassionate service — a true embodiment of the Buddhist path.
