Luang Phor Thap (Lp Thap) Wat Krabok Kuen Phueng
The life story of Luang Phor Thap of Wat Krabok Kuen Phueng, located in Ban Khai District, Rayong Province, begins with his birth as a native of Rayong in Ban Natakhwan, Natakhwan Subdistrict, Mueang District, Rayong Province. He was born on a Friday in the sixth lunar month of the Year of the Ox, which corresponds to 1877. His parents, Aun Phet Nakhon and Chim, originally from Chanthaburi Province, raised him as the youngest of eight siblings.
From an early age, Luang Phor Thap showed a compassionate spirit, often releasing fish caught by servants into the water out of pity, even though it frequently earned him scoldings from his parents. This act of kindness reflected the character that would shape his future path.
At the age of 4 or 5, Luang Phor Thap began his education, displaying a strong dedication to learning that persisted into adulthood. At 20, he joined the navy and served his country for four years before eventually embarking on his spiritual journey.
In honor of his parents, Luang Phor Thap was ordained alongside Phrakhru Samutsamankhun (Yaw), the abbot of Wat Pa Pradu. Under the mentorship of esteemed monks such as Phra Achan Ruam of Wat Ban Laeng, Luang Phor Thap delved into the realms of spiritual knowledge and magic.
For two years, he served as a close disciple, absorbing the profound teachings of his mentor, Phrakru Samutsamankhun, also known as Luang Por Yaew, a revered monk renowned for his magical talismans, particularly the cloth talismans believed to influence people with great effectiveness.
His ordination in his fifth year of Buddhist Lent marked the beginning of a journey to seek spiritual enlightenment and wisdom in nature. During his pilgrimage, he connected with Luang Phor Tim, establishing a deep bond with him through shared spiritual endeavors.
One of Luang Phor Thap's notable legacies is his renowned green beeswax, which is said to possess special magical properties. Those who sought this prized item had to undergo trials of patience and perseverance, earning this beeswax like a revered artifact.
Luang Phor Thap's amulets are diverse and significant, each holding its own reputation and symbolism. Among them, the sword-carrying Khun Phaen amulet, made with sacred Buddha powder and his legendary honey, stands out for its rarity and mystical charm.
Despite the presence of counterfeit amulets, genuine collectors recognize the authenticity of Luang Phor Thap’s amulets by the visible rays of beeswax within each piece. True believers appreciate the balance between authenticity and affordability in his spiritual artifacts.
As a close associate of Luang Pu Tim, Luang Phor Thap often included Luang Pu Tim's consecration rituals in the making of his amulets, highlighting their spiritual synergy.
