This marked the beginning of his spiritual journey. He was ordained as a novice monk at Wat Pho Si, Khon Kaen Province, on May 6, 1925. At the age of 20, he was fully ordained as a monk on January 13, 1931, at Wat Si Chan (Wat Si Chanthrawas), Khon Kaen. His ordination preceptor was Phra Khru Phisan Aranyakhet (Chan Khemiyo), with Phra Ajahn Singh Khantayakomo and Phra Ajahn Maha Pin Panyapalo serving as karmavācācariya and anusāvanācariya respectively. ⸻ 2.
