2. Ordination and Religious Education


Luang Pu Tim was ordained at the age of 20 at Wat Phra Khao, with Phra Khru Phibul Thammavet as his preceptor. After ordination, he devoted himself to the deep study of Dhamma-Vinaya (Buddhist scriptures and discipline) and intensive Vipassana meditation.


He was considered a disciple in the spiritual lineage of several highly respected meditation masters, including:

  • Luang Pho Jong of Wat Na Tang Nok

  • Luang Pho Sot of Wat Paknam

  • Luang Pho Khuay of Wat Kositaram


3. Monastic Practice and Teachings


Luang Pu Tim was widely respected for his humble and austere lifestyle, refraining from personal gain and worldly attachments. He placed emphasis on:

  • Daily meditation practice

  • Simplicity in conduct

  • Metta (loving-kindness) toward all beings

  • Teaching the Dhamma with clarity and compassion


His teachings were often concise, yet deeply meaningful. A well-known phrase of his was:

“Keep meditating and never be careless.”


4. Sacred Objects and Contribution


Although Luang Pu Tim was not known for actively commercializing amulets, he permitted the creation of sacred items to support temple development and community welfare. One of his most famous works is the:

  • Phra Khun Paen Ceramic Glazed Amulet (8th Cycle Edition, B.E. 2552)

    Created to celebrate his 96th birthday, this amulet was personally blessed by Luang Pu and is highly regarded among collectors and spiritual practitioners.


Other notable creations include:

  • Somdej-style powder amulets

  • Herbal powder (wan) amulets

  • Protective cloth yantras and talismans


All were consecrated through his personal meditation and mantra recitation, known for their spiritual power and sincerity.


5. Final Years and Passing


Luang Pu Tim passed away peacefully in his kuti (monk’s quarters) at Wat Phra Khao on October 18, 2012, at the age of 100. His passing marked the end of a century of spiritual dedication.


Disciples and devotees from across the nation came to pay their final respects, reflecting the immense reverence he commanded. His legacy continues through his teachings, amulets, and the moral conduct he embodied.
