Phra Pidta Chong Ang Ork Suk (King Cobra) BE2514 Luang Phor Pae (Lp Pae) Wat PikulTong
Phra Pidta Chong Ang Ork Suk (King Cobra) – B.E. 2514
By Luang Phor Pae, Wat Pikulthong, Singburi
1. Background of the Amulet
Phra Pidta Chong Ang Ork Suk, commonly referred to as the “King Cobra” edition, is one of the lesser-seen but spiritually significant Phra Pidta amulets created by Luang Phor Pae in B.E. 2514 (1971). Its design incorporates mystical and symbolic imagery of a coiled king cobra shielding the Phra Pidta figure — enhancing the themes of invulnerability, protection, and spiritual power.
The name “Chong Ang Ork Suk” refers to a snake slithering out from its hole, an allegory for breaking through misfortune and adversity.
2. Sacred Material and Casting
The amulet was crafted using Nur Phong Puttakhun, a mixture of sacred powders including:
-
Phong Ittijay – for invincibility and warding off harm
-
Phong Maharaj – for commanding authority
-
Phong Trinisinghe – for defensive energy
-
Phong Puttakhun – for protective blessings and fortune
-
Phong Pattamung – for spiritual clarity and insight
These powders were consecrated in multiple rituals before being pressed into molds designed in Luang Phor Pae’s signature triangle shape, common among his Phra Pidta variants.
The shape of the amulet, combined with the presence of a king cobra, symbolizes complete spiritual enclosure, impenetrability from external harm, and enhanced Kongkrapan Chatri (invincibility) properties.
3. Blessing Ceremony
The amulets were consecrated in B.E. 2514, at Wat Pikulthong under Luang Phor Pae’s leadership. The ritual was carried out during an auspicious time and included:
-
Chanting of Jinapanjara (Chinabunchorn) Katha: A key protective chant Luang Phor Pae was known to have practiced daily.
-
Yant Budhson Meditation: This unique yantra was central to Luang Phor Pae’s amulet activation process and was inscribed spiritually into each amulet through meditation and mantra.
The ceremony was believed to imbue the amulet with three-fold protective blessings:
-
Kongkrapan (invulnerability)
-
Maha Ud (immunity to weapons)
-
Metta Maha Niyom (loving-kindness and attraction)
4. Spiritual Beliefs and Effects
The Phra Pidta Chong Ang Ork Suk is regarded among devotees as a powerful all-rounder, offering:
-
Protection from harm, danger, and black magic
-
Great charm and compassion enhancement for interpersonal relationships and business
-
Fortune-attracting energy, especially during times of change or financial struggle
-
Mental clarity and mindfulness, aided by the closed-eye meditation pose of Phra Pidta
The coiled king cobra symbolizes alertness, guardianship, and swift spiritual intervention.
