1. Background and Significance
The Phra Somdej Sendai amulet was created by Luang Phor Lampoo, the respected Vice Abbot of Wat Bang Khun Phrom, during his early leadership at the temple. The term “Sendai” is believed to reflect a reference to peaceful rule or moral governance, reflecting Luang Phor Lampoo’s deep commitment to Dhamma and ethical living.
This batch was part of a special consecration ceremony intended to preserve the spiritual tradition of Somdej Phra Phutthachan (Toh) Prohmrangsri, and to commemorate Luang Phor Lampoo’s spiritual achievements and role in the post-Gru (หลังกรุ) preservation era of Wat Bang Khun Phrom.
2. Materials and Composition
The amulet is made from Nur Phong, a sacred powder blend that included:
-
Fragments of broken original Phra Somdej from the 2500 Chedi opening
-
Pong Bailan (burnt ancient Buddhist scripture)

Additional sacred powders collected from renowned temples and masters
This blend was pressed following the traditional Dtamra (manual) of Wat Rakang and Bang Khun Phrom lineage.
