History
Phra Pidta Lang Ha Yant Nur Phong Lueng BE2516
Temple: Wat Yai Ra, Rayong Province
Consecrated by: Luang Pu Tim (Wat Lahanrai)
Purpose of Creation
This batch of Phra Pidta was created in B.E. 2516 (1973) with the sacred objective of raising funds to support temple development at Wat Yai Ra, a temple close to Wat Lahanrai. The intention was to honor the tradition of sacred powder amulet creation and contribute to the Buddhist community through spiritual merit and financial support.
Main Consecrator
Luang Pu Tim (หลวงปู่ทิม อิสริโก) of Wat Lahanrai, one of the most venerated monks in Thailand, was invited to officiate and perform the consecration ceremony. Known for his powerful blessings and meticulous amulet consecration, Luang Pu Tim was also closely connected with monks in Rayong Province, including those at Wat Yai Ra.
Luang Pu Tim personally blessed this batch in a formal pluksek (blessing ceremony), reportedly held over multiple sessions to ensure the spiritual empowerment of each amulet.
Materials Used
The amulets were made from Phong Lueng (ผงเหลือง), a type of sacred yellow powder mixture associated with Luang Pu Tim. This mixture is composed of:
-
Phong Ittijay, Phong Pathamang, and Phong Trinisinghe (three powerful Buddhist mantras in powder form)
-
Herbal and mineral powders, including remnants from earlier sacred batches at Wat Lahanrai
-
Crushed fragments of sacred old amulets
-
Pollens and incense ash used in prior ceremonies
The rear of the amulet features a “Ha Yant” (five-line yantra), a mystical script known for protective powers, inscribed to enhance its spiritual efficacy.
