History of the Making: Rian Luang Phor Kasem Khemako “Baramee Thuamthon” Batch (BE 2536 / 1993)


1. Background and Significance


The “Baramee Thuamthon” (Boundless Virtue) batch of sacred coins (Rian) was created in B.E. 2536 (1993) to honor Luang Phor Kasem Khemako, one of Northern Thailand’s most revered forest tradition monks. The term Baramee Thuamthon signifies the overflowing spiritual power and compassion of Luang Phor Kasem, reflecting his lifelong dedication to the Dhamma and the well-being of all beings.


This batch was intended to commemorate his spiritual legacy and to allow disciples and devotees to connect with his boundless merit through the act of reverent worship.

The amulets were consecrated (pluksek) in a highly auspicious ceremony held at the sacred grounds of the Sut Saan Trai Laksana (Tri-Lak Cemetery) in Lampang. This location was Luang Phor Kasem’s lifelong place of practice and renunciation, where he lived in solitude, meditated, and guided others in the path of mindfulness and letting go.
