Overview

In B.E. 2550 (2007), a grand spiritual undertaking led to the creation of a sacred Phra Bucha image of Jatukam Ramathep, known as the “Roon Udomchok Pathom Arahan Matuphum” batch. This edition was crafted under the spiritual guidance of Archan Lek Chanthip, a respected southern Thai lay master, and was officially consecrated at the highly venerated Wat Phra Mahathat Woramahawihan in Nakhon Si Thammarat—the ancient spiritual heartland of southern Thailand and the legendary origin of the Jatukam Ramathep faith.

Significance of the Name

The batch name “Udomchok Pathom Arahan Matuphum” carries profound spiritual meaning:

  • Udomchok – Supreme luck or abundant blessings

  • Pathom Arahan – Refers to the first or original enlightened beings, symbolizing purity and spiritual awakening

  • Matuphum – Meaning homeland or sacred motherland, symbolizing national and spiritual heritage

The combination of these names reflects a divine objective: to bestow blessings, protection, and guidance upon all those who uphold morality, gratitude, and faith in righteous living.

The Sacred Venue: Wat Mahathat

Wat Phra Mahathat Woramahawihan, located in Nakhon Si Thammarat, is one of the most ancient and revered Wats in Thailand, home to the Great Stupa (Phra Borommathat Chedi), which enshrines relics of the Lord Buddha. The temple is also the spiritual birthplace of the Jatukam Ramathep tradition, where the deity is believed to guard the relics and bless the faithful.

Thus, the consecration of the Jatukam Bucha statue in this sacred location added immeasurable spiritual power and legitimacy to the batch.

About the Maker: Archan Lek Chanthip

Archan Lek Chanthip is known throughout southern Thailand as a lay master of sacred rituals and protective talismanic science (Saiyasart). He is respected for his strict discipline, deep spiritual knowledge, and sincerity in the creation of all sacred objects. For this Phra Bucha project, he personally oversaw the casting, blessing process, and spiritual preparation of materials.

Purpose and Spiritual Benefits

The Phra Bucha Jatukam Ramathep Roon Udomchok was created to:

  • Enhance overall good fortune (Chok Laap)

  • Promote personal success and protection from misfortune

  • Offer spiritual guardianship over homes, offices, and shops

  • Bring peace and stability during times of difficulty and social uncertainty

  • Encourage practitioners to walk the path of virtue, generosity, and truthfulness

It is believed that this particular batch is especially potent in guarding one’s destiny, especially when enshrined at the household altar with proper intention and mindfulness.

Consecration Ceremony

The consecration was conducted with full adherence to ancient Southern Thai Brahmanic and Theravāda Buddhist rituals, including:

  • Invocation of the Eight Guardian Deities and Jatukam Ramathep

  • Monastic chanting of Paritta and Maha Jatukam Katha

  • Meditative empowerment by senior monks and Archan Lek over several phases

  • Final blessing inside the main ubosot of Wat Mahathat, in front of the Great Stupa
